Financial Aid made a good effort to talk to my parents especially when we came in for an open house. They separated the students to the parents, so that the parents can really understand what finances were going to look like with college payments and stuff like that.
I got the GMercyU scholarship as well as the Mary Mother Bernard's Grant. The great thing about those, those are scholarships or grants that I don't have to pay back. Another thing that financial aid offers us to make our financial aid process goes even more smoothly is that we get a check list every year. It lets us know when we have to agree to things, when we have to submit things, what is missing on our file and things like that.
Financial Aid did a really good job explaining to my family that college education is an investment for our future.
