What Is Mercy?

Mercy is about making a difference, for ourselves and for others.

It’s about creating a warm and inclusive campus community. It’s a way making sure you will see and be seen, hear and be heard, and know and be known.

And it’s why our graduates – no matter their major –  are ready to do well and do good as professional and global citizens.

To me, Mercy is an attitude that embraces. Mercy is absolutely a feeling when you come on campus, but I think it shapes everybody in different ways. Mercy really becomes apparent when you start to get involved outside of the classroom. When you start to get involved in that club, or you start to get involved in that activity. And you really just open yourself up to different experiences. Service is very important. More than I think the idea that, not only, just serving yourself, but serving others and that you're a part of something bigger than yourself. You really start to discover that Mercy is more than just a word on our website. It is apparent in all the things that we're doing.
